School has begun...without books
Well, we began school on Monday without any books. Some books are online and we have been able to download them and read them on the computer, others, no. We received Learning guides via UPS on Tuesday and Joshua received books for Math and Science on Wednesday. Slowly we are getting into our new routine.

Weekend outing
We are packing to go out of town one last time before we start schooling. Our classroom is almost ready, just some last minute things to put away. We found out yesterday that we will be needing the schoolbooks to tart school. These are supposed to be to us within 2 weeks of our starting day. Life could be interesting for the first couple of weeks as we switch our routine and start back up to schooling especially without all our books.

Who we are
We are a fairly new schooling at home family. We are using public schooling but we are doing it via the internet and with books at home. This will be our second year. We have 2 boys who are in 2nd and 3rd grade. Our 3rd grader completed 2 years of math last year and will be starting 4th grade math this year. I have been looking at various blogs and things related to homeschooling and joined another forum this morning.

10 days to go
We are now 10 days from the beginning of our school year. Only 6 business days in whcih to get books shipped to us.
We have not heard from teachers yet. We have names of teachers and when I emailed MOVip the reply I got said teachers would be checking in this week and getting in touch with us about what we needed to do next. Nothing so far and today is Friday.
Joe will have the same teacher he began 2nd grade with (until they had to split the class do to an overwhelming response).
School room is just about ready. Computer needs some work but other than that I think we are ready.

We are starting our schooling 2 weeks from today. Still no books...hoping for them this week. I like to go through them ahead of time and lay out our lesson plans. Oh well. That means we may start out SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

Gearing up for school
We have set aside one room for school. I will also be using it for scrapbooking. I am trying to get it done. We have 3 weeks until we start school.
